Khon Kaen Weather
Isaan generally has some very harsh conditions ranging from very wet to extremely dry. The north east is regarded as one of the most difficult to live in, but there are quite distinct seasons. In the low season, from May to September, there are plenty of bargain offers from hotels, so this is sometimes a good time to make a visit. Like all of Thailand, the months of May through to September are known as "The Rainy Season" In Khon Khaen the rainfall can reach nearly 250mm in September. The number of days it actually rains is usually around 18 days, so it can still be quite sunny for half of the month, and there are good clear skies even in the rainy times. Temperatures in the mid months are quite hot at an average of 32 to 36 degrees C. In the winter months however,- the dry season - the climate changes to a pleasant temperature range with a low of 16 degrees C to a high of 30 degrees C. Rainfall can be as light as 3mm in November through to March, so it’s a time for dry sunny conditions and cooler temperatures. Today weather report
